Our
Recent Round-Up Sunday 4/13/2008
Our annual Round-Up Sunday was a blessing spiritually
and enjoyed by all who attended. Our total attendance
for the morning services was 328,
with 110 brought
in on our church busses. Classes were in competition to see which
one could
gain the most in attendance for Round-Up Sunday. The prize for the class gaining the
most won a pizza party at a future date.
Attendees were encouraged to wear western dress
clothing with contests being held and prizes given for the best costumed
individuals in age groups from babies to adults.
After our morning Sunday School and Worship
services everyone enjoyed a good meal and then plenty of activities for
our children, youth and adults. These activities included a jumping castle,
horseback and pony rides, face painting, archery, nail driving, cow
milking, paint ball, hayride and horseshoes. Some just wanted to relax
and enjoy a time of fellowship with other church members and friends.
Many enjoyed snacks of cotton candy, sno-cones
and popcorn.
After the food and activities time, a closing service was held, prizes
for the various contests of the day were awarded by our Sunday School
Superintendant. The service concluded with singing, special music and great preaching by our special speaker of the
day, Bro. Rick Kirchinger.
To recap the day several decisions were made to
accept Christ for Salvation and several for rededication. Also,
one young girl entered the waters of baptism at the end of our morning
worship service.
